What the Records Show

In 1880 the Manion household at Warwick, Rhode Island, included a daughter Ann, fifteen, recorded as working in the print works. Her age fits Honora's birth about 1865, and she was later known as Nora and Annie, but no record yet read states that Ann and Honora were the same person. [1] As Nora Coogan in 1910, and Annie Coogan in 1920, the wife of John J. Coogan, she had no occupation recorded. [2] [3]

Open questions

  • Possibly born Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, April–June 1865 (England & Wales birth index, Sheffield 9C/362); the index does not name her parents. [4] The 1880, 1905, 1910 and 1920 censuses give England; the FamilySearch tree's earlier entry said Ireland. [1] [5] [2] [3]
