What the Records Show

In June 1880 the census found Patrick Manion, 47, at Warwick, Rhode Island, with his wife Hannah and six of their children. He and five of the children, Thomas, Patrick, Ann, John and Martin, the youngest of them eleven, were all recorded as working in the print works. Hannah was keeping house, and Mary, six, was at school. Patrick and Hannah were born in Ireland; the enumerator gave England as the birthplace of every child. [1]
