Daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, and cabinet cards from the Warren-Winter family collection, spanning five generations in southeastern Massachusetts. The 1840s to the mid-20th century.
The Annotator
These photographs were preserved and labeled by an unidentified family member we call “the Annotator.” Her blue ink labels — written decades after the photos were taken, from memory — are the thread connecting the entire collection.
We are still searching for her name.
